Our Utility Tree Worker Introduction Training Program is meticulously designed to align with Alberta’s trade standards, equipping participants with the vital skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in utility vegetation management. This robust program offers a blend of theoretical instruction and practical, hands-on experience, ensuring graduates are trained in safely and effectively managing vegetation around utility lines.

The curriculum covers a comprehensive range of topics, including an introduction to utility vegetation management, safety protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use. Students will gain expertise in tree biology and identification, pruning and trimming techniques, climbing and rigging, safe tree felling, and electrical hazard awareness, all tailored to Alberta’s specific regulations and best practices. The program also delves into vegetation control methods, hazard assessment training, and the operation and maintenance of essential equipment, such as chainsaws and chippers.
